The Postmodern Game of the World

1996.
Description
Postmodernism can be defined using the phrase cultural society as an imaginary institution. Is this yet another conceptual "centaur" of postmodern sociology of culture, or is it a thought guide that, following the seductive title of Castoriadis' famous treatise, sheds light on the contradictions of contemporary society from the opacity of the cultural formation of the social battle of the community? However, it is by no means self-evident that the formation of contemporary society can be based on the assumptions of the cultural institution of the world of life. Precisely because it seems self-evident that the imaginary belongs to the realm of poetry and fantasy, or, as traditionally expressed, to the realm of aesthetic judgment. No matter how hard this assessment seems to be acceptable, it is necessary to start from the initial premise that cultural modernism, in its attack on the autonomy of the aesthetic judgment as an independent sphere of art, imaginary freed it from the prohibitions of exclusivity. Thus, postmodernism began to complete the process of destroying the autonomy of aesthetic judgment by cynical means.
